Physics Engineering department faculty member Assoc. Dr. Nureddin TÜRKAN attended the congress named "ENSCON'17 - INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF ENERGY, ECONOMY AND SECURITY" held at Istanbul Kozyatağı Hilton Hotel on 25-26 March 2017. At the congress where approximately 100 papers were presented, our faculty member, TÜRKAN, made an oral presentation titled "THE ROLE OF NUCLEAR ENERGY ON THE ECONOMY OF TURKEY FOR INCOMING DECADES”. In this oral presentation, the physical dynamics of nuclear energy were highlighted, and its advantages over other types of energy and the beneficial aspects of radiation were considered. In addition, the contributions of nuclear energy to the Turkish economy in the next 10 years were explained.
